Ingredients
Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise
Hellmann’s Chunky Burger Sauce
250g Longganisa
250g Beef burgers
American Cheese Slices
Burger Buns
1 large onion - Julienned
Lettuce
1 tsp Butter
Method
In a bowl, remove longganisa from its casing, mix together and form into a ball.
Repeat step above for beef burgers as well and set aside.
For quick caramelised onions, add julienned onions into a pan with a tsp of butter. To prevent onions from sticking or burning, add a splash of water to the pan and mix well. Saute until onions become soft and golden. Remove and set aside.
Get your BBQ or cast iron scorching hot, place a ball of longganisa and quickly smash evenly for maximum crispy surface area with a flat spatula. Flip and cook on both sides.
For the burgers, place a ball of beef burger in the BBQ and add julienned onions on top before smashing evenly. Flip and cook on both sides. This should take around 1.5-2 mins each side.
Add a slice of cheese and cover to let it get nice and melted, then set aside.
To toast the bun, add a generous layer of Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise and spread that on both sides. It’s rich and creamy, giving our buns that perfectly golden toast.
To assemble and layer the burger, add more of Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise on the bottom bun, then lettuce, the smashed beef burger, longganisa, caramelised onions and top with Hellmann’s Chunky Burger Sauce for that flavour punch and textures of onions, chilli and also gherkins to helps to balance the sweetness of the longganisa.
Serve and enjoy!
